I am a keen and avid hill walker. In my time I have climbed a number of high peaks including Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and Cotopaxi in Ecuador. As I get older, and dare I say, more sensible, I have decided to keep my exploits to lower altitudes and less extreme geographies.

This section of the website includes my hillwalking diary. Before I am 50 (another 9 and a half years) I hope to complete the Trail 100. This is a selection of hills and mountains voted the most interesting by Trail magazine. There are a couple of hills I don't agree with so I will replace these with my own. At some point later in time, I will publish the full list on the site.

I will also attempt to list the routes I have done and intend to do in the aptly names Routes section. It is my hope that people will find my exploits interesting enough to have a go at the walks themselves. Please let me know how you go on.
