Did you know where the term 'honeymoon' comes from? Records dating back to the sixteenth century report that the name stems from the idea that the first month of marriage is the sweetest.

Whatever the original meaning may have been, we are certainly looking forward to our honeymoon. Rachel and I initially plan just spend just a few days away on our own somewhere in the UK, shortly after we wedding. Our main 'honeymoon' holiday will actually be in the USA, visiting Disney, some of the Atlantic seaboard cities and perhaps even a stop-over in Toronto, Canada to visit Rachel's family there, money permitting.

This is something we’ve been dreaming of doing for some time now so we are quite excited that plans seem to be coming together.
